Don't be afraid to like this watch. I do. I think it looks pretty hot actually. Is that something I typically say about a watch? No, but this isn't a typical looking watch. Are you MAN ENOUGH to wear a white watch? Sure you are. Now granted, a watch like this is not for everyone, or every outfit. Frankly some of you may look outright silly wearing this watch. For other, this is a fantastic addition to your collection. From TX, this is the newest version of their 800 Series Linear Chronograph watch model. This model T3C456TX is in all white, with a steel case and rose gold toned trim. More on that later.
There are few very watches at this price level with bracelets that look at soon. The wide brushed steel links have a high quality feel, and aren't too thin either (yes, I am talking to you Seiko). The deployment clasp has a triple locking feature that is sturdy and feels nice. Plus, you'll appreciate how the links are bushed on the top and bottom, and polished on the sides - a very good look. I like the Orient engraving on the bottom of the clasp. Another feature you don't see too often on watches at this price point. You'll notice the thick screw-down caseback which helps the 40mm wide case to sit at a good level above the wrist. Size of the watch is perfect for the look being comfortable yet masculine. Being water resistant to 200 meters, you can easily do most diving with the watch easily. The crown and pusher at 2 o'clock are both screw-down as well.
If you visit DWATCH's website you can visit the "Custom" tab you can mix all the available parts of the watch and "build your own." There are only going to be 100 of the Sting Ray watches as they are all individually numbered and part of a limited edition. Once again the price is about 0. Always nice to see people getting watches like this and enjoying them (it helps when they are good photographers too).
My initial thought upon seeing the new line of watches from Swarovski was that it looks so familiar... I tried to think of the exact predominantly women's brands that it reminded me of, and then I realized - all of them. Chanel - Dior - Nixon - Tag Heuer.
Here is my first time talking about the CYMA watch brand. If you are in the US like me, you've likely never heard of it. Way to ignore yet another good market CYMA! I am gonna just spell it Cyma for now. So this is their new Navy Star collection watch. The timepiece will come in at least four varieties (quartz/automatic mechanicals), and in various colors. There will also be various PVD versions. Just saying that so that you don't think the pictured watch is the only one they offer. Regardless, I really like the pictured model being their automatic GMT model. Oh, and I think Cyma calls this watch their "Skin Diver." Which makes me think of someone skinny dipping with only this watch and a smile on.
Designer and co-founder of the Snyper One watch Jean-Francois Ruchonnet has an interesting reason for calling the watch the "Snyper." Aside from being styled after modern sniper rifles (which everyone can agree are really cool), he said the name is a metaphor for men seeking out women. It is kind of cute in a predatory like way. At least it shows our dedication. We find a target lady, the RIGHT target lady, and we watch from afar. Waiting for the right moment... to shoot. Only through the right calculated measures do we hit the target, we have but one shot before they know they are being aimed at and take cover if we miss. Yea that pretty much doesn't sum up my relationship history with women, but then, again I am not French or Swiss. The watch is still really cool, though! Interestingly enough, Ruchonnet himself was an actual Sniper in the military. He's had plenty of time with Sniper rifles to really get to know then.
Welcome to the world of wonderfully weird watches. In this special sponsored section I'd like to introduce you to an interesting watch that will appeal to the person who thrives on living just outside the norm. By Dexter Sinister - the brand of intriguing contradiction - comes the Hex, a collection of three watches available WatchWear.com. Yes, the timepiece is different, but has a functionally inspired design that lends to the allure of this horological curio. See below for a special aBlogtoRead.com reader discount.
To be fair, Fortis did not come up with all of the design themselves. You can see some borrowing from brands such as Xemex and Ventura, but you should really not care. The spacey looking asymmetrical case make for just watch the spaceship captain ordered. The the design was actually a collaboration between Fortis and Volkswagen Design. More on the watches in a moment. You know that Fortis has been involved with professional aviation and space exploration watches for a while. Russian cosmonauts have been using Fortis watches, and Fortis recently submitted their MARS 500 Experiment watch as they want to be the watch to go to Mars. Maybe they will be.

It is hard to predict what will happen in the future, but downloadable content for mobile devices is here to stay, and will only become more popular. This also means that the expectations from them will be higher, and they will have increasing amounts of functionality. Currently, most watch companies are sorely stuck in "Web 1.0." This means that their online presence is a one-dimensional tool for visitors to get some information only, and usually very limited information is available compared to what people want. If the way watch companies operate online now is an indicator of the effectiveness of their iPhone applications, I suggest they hold off making an iPhone application until they have a website that is actually useful for consumers that demand more from a luxury company. Which is also a way of me saying, "stop being so hostile to Internet sales." It makes you look antiquated, and unfriendly.
